TRUSSVILLE Lacrosse season is underway in Trussville and the Huskies are off to a good start.
Hewitt-Trussville head girls coach Tom McCormick says his group played its best game of the year on Saturday in a 16-3 home win over James Clements. McCormick saw six girls score on Saturday, as the team punched through a season-high 16 goals.
Senior Tana Smith led the way with five goals, two assists and five draw controls for the Huskies. Fellow seniors Payton Harbin (three goals, one assist, four draw controls) and Ella Weissgerber (four goals, two assists and one draw control) also delivered big outings.

The Alta-Aurelia High Schools Fusion Dance Team encountered obstacles at state competition this year due to COVID but were pleased with the results and overall experience. The Iowa State Dance Championships was held on November 17-19 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
