Prime Minister Scott Morrison has revealed international arrival caps will revert for New South Wales and Queensland on February 15.
Caps were previously reduced from 7,500 people per week to a limit of 5,000 people just days before Christmas.
“South Australia is also increasing what they’ll take to 530,” Mr Morrison said.
“Victoria will increase to 1310, Premier Andrews and I will be having further conversations about where it goes after that.
“Of course, I’m still working through arrangements with Premier McGowan, they’re obviously still working through some of the issues of this latest case.

President of the Telethon Kids Institute Jonathan Carapetis says Western Australians adapted “very quickly” to the sudden five-day lockdown.
Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan announced the lockdown for Metropolitan Perth and other regions last Sunday after a man tested positive for COVID-19 at a hotel quarantine facility.
“I’ve got to say Western Australians have been remarkable,” Mr Carapetis told Sky News.
The state had enjoyed ten months of no community transmission prior to the outbreak, now having recorded four consecutive days with no new cases since the infection was detected.

Parts of Western Australia will head into a five-day lockdown after Premier Mark McGowan announced the state has detected a COVID-19 outbreak coming out of hotel quarantine in Perth on Sunday.
As a result of the positive case, the premier has announced a “full lockdown” beginning at 6pm on Sunday night and ending at 6pm on Friday for the Perth Metropolitan, Peel, and south west regions.
The man who tested positive worked at a hotel quarantine facility which housed four COVID-19 cases including the South African and UK variants.

A nurse and a St John Ambulance officer have gone into mandatory hotel quarantine after coming into contact with a woman with COVID-19 while not wearing the proper personal protective equipment.
Both healthcare workers came into contact with a woman in her 80s who had returned from the United Kingdom on January 2.

Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan has urged the New South Wales Government to “do what is necessary” to put a halt to the spread of Sydney’s coronavirus cluster.
It comes as Premier McGowan announced Western Australia is reinstating its hard border to New South Wales, effective from 12.01am December 20.
As the coronavirus cluster in Sydney s Northern Beaches continues to grow, New South Wales recorded 23 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, with seven reported in overseas travellers.
“It is clear New South Wales will record further cases in coming days, the situation is extremely concerning,” Premier McGowan said.
