ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa Friday said Pakistan was resolute in its commitment to safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia and defence of the two Holy Mosques.
He said this during his meeting with Prince Mohammed Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minster and Defence Minister, and Prince Khalid Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Deputy Defence Minister at Jeddah.
They discussed matters of mutual interest and regional security situation including recent developments in Afghan Peace Process, bilateral defence, security, collaboration for regional peace and connectivity.
Cairo: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan held talks on boosting ties between the two countries and efforts against terrorism.
The talks were held following the arrival of the Pakistani premier for an official visit to the kingdom.
During the talks held in the Saudi city of Jeddah, emphasis was laid on the depth of relations between the kingdom and Pakistan and the importance of expanding their cooperation and coordination in all fields, the Saudi news agency SPA reported.
Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and Khan signed an agreement establishing a Saudi-Pakistani higher coordination council.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has acknowledged Pakistan’s role towards regional peace and stability, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
According to the ISPR, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Crown Prince and 1st Deputy Prime Minster, Defence Minister and Prince Khalid Bin Salman, Deputy Defence Minister, at Jeddah. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including recent developments in Afghan peace process, bilateral defence and security collaboration for regional peace and connectivity were discussed.
The COAS said that Pakistan is resolute in its commitment to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of KSA and defence of the Two Holy Mosques. A massive anti-corruption drive that began on Saturday revealed that funds worth at least 100 billion dollar were misused through systematic corruption in the recent decades, Saudi Arabia s Attorney General Sheikh Saud al-Mojeb said.
At least 201 people which reportedly include senior prices, ministers and other influential businessmen were being held for questioning over embezzlement and corruption.
