Prince George Search and Rescue safely located a man in his 60’s over the May long weekend.
Crews were called to the Willow River area on Saturday night.
After calling in some mutual aid resources from Mackenzie and Vanderhoof, the missing man was found safe just after 9 am on Sunday.
PG SAR Spokesperson, Dave Merritt told MyPGNow.com the man was spotted by helicopter.
“He was definitely tired about spending the night in the bush but he did all the right things by hunkering down, waited for help, and had a little fire going so it was easy for us to spot him through the air. As far as I know, he was doing OK.”
