Ghaziabad: Ambulance operators remained adamant on continuing with their strike across the state despite the government threatening to lodge FIRs against them. Although ambulance drivers have been protesting for the past five days, they struck work on Monday. Late on Tuesday evening, the health department took away the keys to 27 ambulances in the district. But the operators stuck to their demands. “We are ready to hand over the keys, but the district authorities should provide us a letter that they are taking the keys from us,” Brij Mohan, district president of the Jeevandayini Swasthya Vibhag 102, 108 and ALS Ambulance Employees’ Union, had said earlier in the day.
