TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-The Twin Falls City Council decided to take no action Tuesday evening on a proclamation presented by a Twin Falls pastor declaring the city a sanctuary city for children not yet born. Paul Thompson, pastor of Eastside Baptist Church presented the proclamation aimed at putting a stop to abortions within the city of Twin Falls. He said the proclamation had more than 250 signatures on it and asked the council to adopt it. An hour before the meeting Pastor Thompson hosted a pro-life rally outside of City Hall. An estimated 100 people from Twin Falls and surrounding communities were able to sign the proclamation at the event. Several pastors from area churches spoke in support of the proclamation and against abortion.

WASHINGTON (BorderReport) President Donald Trump extended a proclamation declaring an emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border for another year.
On Friday, he said he would continue the national emergency designation until Feb. 15, 2022.
He initially put one in place through Proclamation 9844 on Feb. 15, 2019 “to deal with the border security and humanitarian crisis” there.
PUTRAJAYA: The Emergency Ordinance 2021 has been gazetted. Posted on the federal gazette website, it cited that the Ordinance came into operation on Jan 11, the day the King made the proclamation of Emergency.
State College Mayor Ronald Filippelli announced that the borough of State College will acknowledge National Day of Racial Healing on Jan. 19.
According to a release, Filipelli s proclamation called for this acknowledgment because of racial divisiveness rising in America s urban, rural and suburban communities today.
Fillipelli said in a statement racial healing is a vital and crucial commitment to the education, social, mental and overall well-being of all our children.
