PETALING JAYA: A local green furniture maker managed to break into the US and European markets via the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) Export Promotion Programme, says Datuk Lim Ban Hong. The Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister said One Tech (M) Sdn Bhd, an SME in Ampang, suffered a decline in orders during the initial outbreak of Covid-19 last year. With Matrade’s programmes, its orders have since increased, enabling the company to get through the economic downturn, he said in a statement on Tuesday (March 16). Lim said One Tech, a pioneer in green furniture manufacturing using sustainable and reclaimed materials, entered international markets by selling its products on Amazon and other major digital marketing platforms.
