It did little to impact the region’s drought, but parts of San Diego County got a good drenching on Monday as monsoonal moisture continued to produce shots of rain during one of the driest months of the year.
The National Weather Service says that Lake Cuyamaca received 2.32 inches of precipitation and Palomar Mountain got 1.10 inches during the 48-hour period ending at 2:45 p.m. Monday.
Forecasters say that their primary and secondary stations also showed that areas of Oceanside received from 0.28 inches to 0.98 inches of rain during the same period, and a spot near Cal State San Marcos reported 0.37 inches.
