An East Pittsburgh man with seven prior felony convictions will spend 15 years behind bars for using a gun while dealing large amounts of synthetic fentanyl he ordered by mail from South Korea.
James Folks, 47, who also has ties to Homestead, was sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh for his latest round of drug and gun charges stemming from a bust spurred by Postal Inspection workers 3 ½ years ago, Acting U.S. Attorney Stephen R. Kaufman said Tuesday.
Hundreds of pieces of mail found in a dumpster behind business
FERGUSON, Missouri (KMOV) Hundreds of pieces of mail were found in a dumpster behind a Ferguson business Monday night. The man who found them, Jonathan Tremaine Thomas, said he has no idea who did it or why.
He found the mail after going to drop something off in the dumpster behind the coffee shop he is renovating.
“I’d say anywhere from 800 to 1,000. It was a lot of mail,” said Thomas.
Thomas said he found a lot more than just junk mail.
“I found IRS notifications, Social Security, paychecks, birthday cards and I realized, especially when I saw, some of those more governmental notices,” said Thomas.

WASHINGTON As the final hours of President Donald Trump s term ticked down Tuesday night, he issued dozens of pardons, including one for former White House chief political strategist Steve Bannon.
Bannon was indicted last year by a federal grand jury on single counts of conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. The charges were filed in connection with an alleged scheme that improperly transferred $1 million from a nonprofit organization created by an Air Force veteran in Miramar Beach, Florida, to a California-based nonprofit group headed by Bannon. Bannon allegedly used hundreds of thousands of those dollars for personal expenses.
