61-year-old man shot by elderly father during domestic dispute at Hoover home

A 61-year-old man was seriously injured in a Saturday-afternoon shooting in Hoover.
The city’s 911 center received a call at 2:20 p.m. on a report of a shooting at home in the 3500 block of Polo Parc Court, said Lt. Keith Czeskleba. They arrived to find the man suffering from several gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken by Hoover Fire medics to UAB Hospital’s Trauma Center.
Czeskleba said the victim’s father called to report he shot his son during a domestic incident. The elderly father was taken to the Hoover Police Department for questioning and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been filed and detectives are trying to sort out the details.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Hoover police are investigating after a father admitting to shooting his 61-year-old son multiple times Saturday afternoon.
HPD arrived at the 3500 block of Polo Parc Court after receiving a call about a shooting around 2:20 p.m. At the scene officers found a 61-year-old man suffering from several gunshot wounds. The man was transported to UAB Hospital with serious injuries.
According to police, the victim’s father called 911 to report that he had shot his son during a domestic violence situation. He was transported to the Hoover Police Department for questioning and is reported to be cooperating with the investigation.
