A TOWN centre bar which was under the cloud of a licensing review for a number of months has had its case dropped. The Bar, in Nelson Square, was placed under a licensing review by Bolton Council for allegedly breaching coronavirus restrictions in October last year when Greater Manchester was put in the government’s coronavirus alert level of ‘very high’. The venue was visited by police and council enforcement officers on a few occasions towards the end of October where they said they “witnessed very limited food on the tables” being served with drinks, when a substantial meal was required.
