A TOWN centre bar which was under the cloud of a licensing review for a number of months has had its case dropped.
The Bar, in Nelson Square, was placed under a licensing review by Bolton Council for allegedly breaching coronavirus restrictions in October last year — when Greater Manchester was put in the government’s coronavirus alert level of ‘very high’.
The venue was visited by police and council enforcement officers on a few occasions towards the end of October where they said they “witnessed very limited food on the tables” being served with drinks, when a substantial meal was required.
