There were no casualties, says HPCL
A fire broke out at the crude distillery unit number 3 of the HPCL Visakh Refinery at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. According to Commissioner of Police Manish Kumar Sinha, no casualties or injuries were reported as all were evacuated in time. The fire was doused within an hour, he said.
As per the initial assessment by the disaster management department of the HPCL, the fire broke out around 3.10 p.m. when an overhead electrical line caught fire, probably due to overheating, and this might have led to the fire in the distillery unit below, which contained naphtha.

Sixteen girls among 127 children were rescued from various parts of Visakhapatnam as part of the ‘Operation Muskaan’, a drive launched by the police to protect orphaned children and also re-unite missing children with their parents. The programme also aims to eradicate child labour.
Commissioner of Police Manish Kumar Sinha, Rural Superintendent of Police B. Krishna Rao spoke to the media to reveal the details here on Wednesday.

Visakhapatnam: Sensational news has come to light in an incident where four members of a family were killed in an apartment fire in Visakhapatnam.
As per reports, four members of an NRI family were killed in an apartment in Mithilapuri Colony at Visakhapatnam, which had caught fire on Wednesday morning. The fire broke out in flat number 505 in Aditya Fortune Towers. Police rushed to the apartments after receiving information from the neighbors.
The deceased have been identified as Sunkara Bangaru Naidu (50), Dr. Nirmala (44), Deepak (22), and Kashyap (19). The presence of bloodstains in the house raised suspicions over their deaths, which initially looked like suicide.
