LAHORE:Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani has said that in the financial year 2021-22 about 450 police stations in the province are being upgraded to Special Initiative Police Stations (SIPS) for changing the traditional police station culture and providing citizens with fast track service delivery in the style of modern policing. Chairing a meeting held at the Central Police Office on Tuesday, he said a committee comprising R&D DIG, IAB DIG, IT DIG and DIG Crimes would ensure monitoring and audit of the ongoing development work for construction of new SIPS.

LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani has said that foolproof security is being provided to Chinese experts working on CPEC projects, Chinese investors and ordinary citizens.
In this regard, all the supervisory officers should review the security arrangements of CPEC projects or other installations in their districts and if there is room for improvement in the security arrangements it should be ensured on priority basis.
He said that fresh security audit of all CPEC, non-CPEC and private projects of Chinese citizens across the province should be done. IGP said that all private security companies that provide security guards or other staff to Chinese citizens should also be subjected to a fresh security audit. He added that CTD, Special Branch and local police should conduct search, sweep and combing operations in the vicinity of Chinese nationals residences, offices and projects.

LAHORE : Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani has said the mission assigned by the prime minister and chief minister was completed by the Punjab Police CTD by eliminating the ringleader of Ladi gang along with an accomplice.
He said that Khuda Bakhsh alias Khadi Chakrani and his accomplice Ismail were killed in a police encounter. They were involved in 40 cases of heinous natures, including murder, murder attempt , robbery and dacoity, he added.
Khuda Bakhsh alias Khadi had cut off the hand and foot of a citizen, Ramzan and killed him some time ago and the video of the incident went viral on social media. Upon which, the prime minister and Punjab chief minister ordered Punjab police to conduct an operation against Ladi gang.
