Investigators believe that a fight between two groups broke out near the stage before gunfire erupted in the crowded event Saturday night in North Charleston, according to police. The concert was being held in a private home without a permit from the city, Police Chief Reggie Burgess said. “This was unauthorized,” he told reporters at a news conference. “We in law enforcement had no clue about this. If we would have, we would probably have been able to save lives.”
