WESTERVILLE, Ohio Emmanuel Olawale, a civil rights attorney in Westerville, was dumping trash into a bin he says he owns on July 10 when two Westerville police officers pulled in behind him.
Body camera video released Tuesday by Westerville police shows officers making sure there was no illegal dumping going on. Olawale gives officers his business card and ID in an attempt, he says, to de-escalate suspicion. When one officer handed the ID to the other officer to write down information, Olawale told them no.

As the city of Chicago mourns the death of Adam Toledo, investigators are looking into the death of Miles Jackson at Mount Carmel St. Ann in Ohio. Video shows the 27-year-old told the officer that he had dropped his weapon before being fatally shot by an officer.
The incident in question took place on April 12. Jackson was transported to the hospital in order to be examined before a change of custody in relation to warrants he had out for his arrest. Video shows Jackson laying down on the bed before being asked to stand, so the officers could pat him down. At this point, things begin to escalate.
