TRUSSVILLE Trussville Fire and Rescue and Trussville Police responded to a three-vehicle crash on the evening of Sunday, April 25, 2021. The wreck occurred around 5:30 p.m.
At least one person had minor injuries, according to Fire Chief Tim Shotts. That person was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment, according to Police Chief Eric Rush.
“One of the drivers of a vehicle involved in the crash failed to yield the right-of-way,” Rush said.
Two lanes of Chalkville Mountain Road were closed while first responders cleared the crash. Service Road was also blocked after the crash.

The family of a Stockton teenager who was allegedly beaten by four police officers has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the city, saying a violent assault left the 17-year-old with a broken nose and boot marks on his face.
SCITUATE Police are investigating a one-car crash Thursday night along Hartford Pike (Route 6) that killed a 17-year-old girl, who was ejected from the vehicle.
The crash happened about 8:30 p.m., east of Elmdale Road. A rescue crew took the driver, the only occupant of the car, to Rhode Island Hospital, where she died of her injuries, said Police Chief Eric Rollinson.
Police have not yet released the victim s identity.
Rollinson asked anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Scituate detectives at 401-821-5900.
