SCITUATE — Police are investigating a one-car crash Thursday night along Hartford Pike (Route 6) that killed a 17-year-old girl, who was ejected from the vehicle.
The crash happened about 8:30 p.m., east of Elmdale Road. A rescue crew took the driver, the only occupant of the car, to Rhode Island Hospital, where she died of her injuries, said Police Chief Eric Rollinson.
Police have not yet released the victim's identity.
Rollinson asked anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Scituate detectives at 401-821-5900.
