OFFICERS conducting speed checks across Bolton on Tuesday recorded several drivers exceeding the limit - including one travelling at 67mph in a 30 zone. Speed enforcement was carried out in several areas including along Bury Road, in Westhoughton and in Horwich. On Bury road officers caught a driver speeding at 67mph and they have now been summonsed to court. Greater Manchester Police said: Officers spent some time tonight carrying out speed enforcement on Bury Road. This driver thought motorway speeds were acceptable in a 30mph limit. Well it wasn t and they will now be explaining it in court having been summonsed.
