Following reports of two missing horses on the Amersham Road, an off-duty officer was on scene to help find the pair. Local Police Community Support Officers also assisted in getting the loose pair back into their yard. YOUNG people will banned from gathering in Horwich after a spate of violence in the town under tough new police measures. The dispersal order comes as officers were confronted by a large gang over the weekend while dealing with an incident in the town. Police have put in the order from Friday to Sunday to cover the whole of the town. Officers say the banning order is in response to community concerns around groups of young people gathering and engaging in violent activity . A dispersal order was enforced at the end of February in Westhoughton over a weekend following a stabbing .
