Lyn Cast, 78, of Grand Drive, saw the aftermath of the stabbing. She said: “I went down to see what was going on as I have got one or two friends along there. “I spoke to the police, and they said someone had been stabbed, a young boy. “I just wanted to make sure my friends were safe. “I took photographs and saw a young boy who was his friend, and he was crying and very upset. “The police were still there at 2am. “It’s very frightening for all of us, I am scared to go out now.” Joe West, 37, of Leighton Avenue, said police were directing people away.
