A freelancer s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his Rajshahi home today around 5:00am.
The deceased, Md Anwarul Islam Tutul (35), was the chairman of Sonar Bangla Dream IT, a cost per action marketing and outsourcing company, said Sub-Inspector Md Golam Mostofa of Boalia Police Station.
Police found Tutul s body in his rented house at Sheikhpara area of Rajshahi city. Tutul may have hanged himself from the ceiling fan in his work room while his family members were asleep, according to family. Police recovered his body at 11:30am after being called by his family, the SI said.

RAJSHAHI, April 21, 2021 (BSS)- Nurul Haque Nur, former vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) has been sued under Digital Security Act (DSA) in Rajshahi for provocative remarks and hurting the religious sentiments through a Facebook live show.
Nibaran Chandra Borman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Boalia Police Station, told BSS that Rajshahi City Unit Joint Secretary of Juba League Towrid Al Masud Rony filed the case against Nur with the police station today.
In the case, Masud Rony alleged that Nur had hurt religious values and sentiments of many religious leaders, government and activists of Bangladesh Awami League and tried to destroy communal harmony through offensive, fabricated and misleading information through social media.

Strict enforcement of traffic rules stressed

RAJSHAHI, March 16, 2021 (BSS)- High police officials at a street-corner ceremony here unanimously observed that strict enforcement of traffic rules besides creating wide-ranging mass-awareness could be the crucial means of freeing the society from road traffic accidents.
They mentioned that the country experiences many road accidents every year claiming scores of lives and injuring many others. The total loss of properties in the accidents is estimated to be huge money.
They made this observation while inaugurating the traffic week-2021 scheduled to be observed from March 16 to 22 at Shaheed AHM Kamaruzzaman Crossing under Boalia Police Station in the city today.
