Gary Gaffney, whose most recent Local Government role was East Gippsland Shire Chief Executive Oficer, will take over from Acting CEO Vikki King, who will return to her previous role as Director Community Development. Under current legislation Ms King was unable continue as acting CEO for more than 12 months.

25 May 2021 | 05:17pm Three injured in incident at Vite Vite Three people have been injured in a collision between a freight train and a truck in the South West this afternoon. It s believed the collision occurred just after 2pm this afternoon near Vite Vite. Ambulance Victoria has confirmed that three men were taken to hospital in stable conditions, after paramedics were called at 2:10pm. One man was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with lower body injuries. Article continues below The other two men were taken by road to Ballarat Base Hospital - one with upper body injuries and the other with no obvious injuries.
