More than half a million homes and businesses in Michigan don't have power today after storms that began Tuesday night. As of Thursday morning, DTE Energy has more than 500,000 customers without power across their service territory. Locally, there are nearly 1200 customers in the dark in the Marysville area and another 1500 people without power this morning in Kimball Township. The outage has caused Woodlands Developmental Center on the St. Clair County RESA Campus to be closed today. There are also over 1000 people are offline in the Emmett area, and another 1500 or so DTE customers with no electricity in the Port Sanilac area. As of this Thursday morning there is no estimated restoration time.
