In an intelligence-driven operation, SAPS Walmer and the Port Elizabeth Airport border police arrested a 43-year-old suspect and confiscated drugs at a house in Lovemore Park yesterday afternoon.
After receiving information on allegations of drug activity, at approximately 15:30, Walmer police executed a search warrant at the house.
On searching the property, various items including scales, small plastic bags, Minora blades, small packets of heroin, packets of crack cocaine and large amount of cash were seized. The estimated value of the drugs is R175 000-00.
The suspect will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate Court on Monday 22 February 2021 on a charge of dealing in drugs.

An insurance broker, her daughter and a former Humewood police reservist have been arrested by the Hawks’ serious corruption investigation team for allegedly defrauding several insurance companies of R280,000.
The suspects are alleged to have submitted fake death claims with the insurers.
Hawks spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Philani Nkwalase said they had been arrested in Port Elizabeth and Welkom on Saturday.
