SK이노베이션은 전날 이사회를 열고 배터리사업과 E&P사업의 분할을 각각 의결했다고 4일 밝혔다. 10월 1일부로 신설법인 ‘SK배터리주식회사(가칭)’와 ‘SK이엔피주식회사(가칭)’를 각각 공식 출범시킬 예정이다. SK배터리주식회사는 전기차용 중대형 배터리, BaaS, ESS 사업 등을,SK이엔피주식회사는 석유개발 생산·탐사 사업, CCS(탄소 포집 저장)사업을 각각 수행하게 된다. 두 사업의 분할은 SK이노베이션이 신설 법인의 지분 총수를 소유하는 단순 물적 분할 방식으로 이뤄질 예정이다.
