PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Wednesday, the City of Portage announced that a new street mural thanking Pfizer Inc. for the role it played this year in vaccine development and distribution has been installed on Portage Road in front of the Pfizer Global Supply campus.
According to the announcement, Trans American Striping, a city vendor, donated the work to paint the mural.
âWe want to thank the City of Portage for suggesting this mural and helping with the last minute details to make it happen,â owner of Trans American Striping David Vaughn said in a statement. âWe were honored to be a part of the community effort.â
The mural is located on Portage Road, in front of the Pfizer Global Supply campus.

The street mural is located on Portage Road in Portage, in front of the Pfizer Global Supply campus.
According to a press release from the city, Trans American Striping, a city vendor, donated the work to paint the mural.
In addition to the street mural, the city installed “Thank You” banners at various locations around the city, and a group of generous Portage residents produced yard signs for distribution throughout the community.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. â Since the 1800s, many daredevils have tried to conquer Niagara Falls in a variety of ways.
While some had success, like Nick Wallenda who walked across the Falls on a tightrope in 2012, others did not survive.
Kirk Jones is one of those who died in his attempt.
Jones got notoriety in 2003 when he survived a jump over the Horseshoe Falls wearing no protective equipment.
In most cases, I was pleased with the response we received and receptiveness to the issues that we have at hand, said Pemberton Mayor Jordan Sturdy during Tuedsay s (Oct. 2) council meeting. Granted, though, these are 15-minute meetings. It s really difficult to go into any kind of substantial discussion. We ll receive letters of follow-up from the minister or ministry staff, which will create a point in time where we can have a dialogue and refer back to discussions that we ve had.
In a meeting with transportation minister Mary Polak, Gimse said she and Village of Pemberton representatives brought up a number of issues with conditions on Highway 99 north of Whistler, including the need to improve shoulders for cyclists and the necessity of a northbound passing lane on Suicide Hill instead of the informal arrangement that currently exists.
