SaskTel Announces Planned Outage of Services in Bjorkdale and Porcupine Plain

By Ryan Young A heads up for residents in Bjorkdale and Porcupine Plain. SaskTel announced their internet, wireless and landline services will not be available during a planned outage tomorrow (Thurs) between midnight and 6 a.m. The Saskatchewan RCMP say if Porcupine Plain residents need police services, head to the RCMP Detachment at 343 Walnut Street in Porcupine Plain. If Bjorkdale residents need the police, head to the Tisdale RCMP Detachment at 1302 102nd Street in Tisdale.

Stolen wood found at construction site of iconic Canadian builder

Submitted by Porcupine Plain RCMP An iconic Canadian builder has seemingly resorted to theft after missing wood was found on its construction site in the Porcupine Plain area. RCMP officers received a complaint that some wood fence posts had gone missing. The person who reported the theft had piled the posts on some property they planned to fence. Given the price of and demand for wood, officers were prepared to track down those responsible for this crime of opportunity. They found the posts before they found the culprits. They were at the site of a new build which was located at a nearby waterway.
