CHELTENHAM TIPS FOR DAY 2 OF THE 2021 FESTIVAL

CHELTENHAM TIPS FOR DAY 2 OF THE 2021 FESTIVAL Cheltenham tips for Queen Mother Champion Chase Day, Wednesday, March 17 Reporter: ); 1.20pm - Ballymore Novices Hurdle It is unusual for me but I m going against the Irish in this race and backing BRAVEMANSGAME (7/2) trained by Paul Nicholls in England. On the Irish front, and we have a good record saddling four of the last five winners, Jamie Codd reckons Bob Olinger (2/1) is a god given cert to win this for Henry De Bromhead. He is a class act but I m taking him on with Bravemansgame who should be a good Cheltenham horse. He is a strong galloper and will relish the step up in trip. He was beaten into second over two miles at Chepstow back in October when his jockey struggled to pull him up after the line. This trip is ideal and a strongly run race will be right up his street. You really couldn t find a more ideal race for him than the Ballymore. The further he goes, the better he gets, evidenced with his 10-length runaway

Cheltenham Festival Day 2: Preview and tips

RTÉ Racing journalist The first day of the 2021 Cheltenham Festival is in the books. Appreciate It, Shiskin and Honeysuckle all delivered as champions should. Significant blow for Nicky Henderson as Altior is ruled out of Champion Chase | Horse Racing News

UPDATED 7:24PM, MAR 15 2021 Altior has been ruled out of Wednesday s Grade 1 Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase at the eleventh hour after Nicky Henderson reported he returned an unsatisfactory scope on Monday morning. The 11-year-old, who won in 2018 and 2019, was withdrawn on the morning of the race last year after failing to recover from a setback. Altior had been available at 6-1 generally for this year s running. Speaking to the Racing Post, Henderson said: It s very upsetting. At least he told us, which is something. If we d run him, well, it just doesn t bear thinking about. We ve got the figures back from the laboratory and they tell their own tale.
