Firefighters are working to contain a fast-growing wildfire burning in the mountains above the Coachella Valley Friday morning. Some evacuation orders have been lifted.
All Evacuation Orders were lifted for all areas affected by the fire.

The Bonita Fire broke out just east of Mountain Center Thursday night. The blaze grew quickly but has held at 600 acres since 5:45 a.m. According to Cal Fire, the fire was at 5% containment.

MOUNTAIN CENTER, Calif. (KABC) A brush fire that broke out early Friday morning near Idyllwild quickly burned 600 acres, prompting evacuation orders for local residents.
Shortly after 1 a.m., firefighters responded to the 28000 block of Bonita Vista Road in the San Jacinto Mountains community of Mountain Center and found flames burning in heavy vegetation and pine trees, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
By 3:30 a.m., the blaze had grown to 250 acres and mandatory evacuation orders were issued for residents of Mountain Center.
Evacuation orders for everyone west of Highway 243 and State Route 74 were lifted Friday afternoon.
An evacuation center was established at the Banning Community Center at 789 N. San Gorgonio Avenue.
Evacuation orders were in place after a brush fire, being called the Bonita Fire, erupted nearly 30 miles east of Hemet early Friday morning, authorities said.
