Sergio Sanchez, 57, told dispatchers that he had shot his wife to death but did not want to go back to prison, a clue that he likely meant to ambush responding officers, according to police. As cops arrived at the scene moments later, the gunman did exactly that, opening fire right away and wounding two officers outside the home, said Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia.
