Now that masks and social distancing requirements of the coronavirus pandemic are starting to loosen up, I think most of us are excited to get out of the house and back to interacting with others in our communities. And, I ve got the perfect event that will get you out and enjoying life.
According to a Facebook event made by the Vassalboro Recreational Committee, Vassalboro Rec is hosting a FREE movie night. Friday, June 11th, FREE movie night will show the new Tom & Jerry movie at the Vassalboro Rec Fields on the Bog Road in Vassalboro. There will be snacks for sale at the snack shack. It is recommended that you bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on.

NEW VINEYARD, Maine Maine State Police are in New Vineyard Tuesday investigating a death that Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols characterized as suspicious.
Sheriff s deputies went to East Barker Road, also known as Bog Road, following the call at 10:49 a.m., Nichols said in a release.
He told NEWS CENTER Maine that deputies were investigating something suspicious on Route 27 near Bog Road.
Maine Department of Public Safety Spokeswoman Shannon Moss confirmed that the State Police Major Crimes Unit was headed to the scene.

DESPITE the construction of social homes in Tullamore, Edenderry, Birr and elsewhere around the county, there are still 529 applicants for housing in Offaly, last week s meeting of the County Council heard.
A further 849 households are being assisted under the Housing Assistance Payments scheme.
At the end of April 20 single people and four families were in emergency accommodation.
