REGION This past year has been challenging. We have been quarantining, masking, “pivoting,” rising up, breaking down, and just trying to keep it together.
To mark the events of this moment, the annual Plunkett Maine Poetry Festival will break out of its usual format to celebrate the University of Maine at Augusta’s (UMA) 2020-2021 academic theme of “Outbreak,” a topic inclusive of viral outbreaks, outbreaks of social justice, and outbreaks of creativity. BPL to Go: Patrons will be able to pick up physical items such as books, DVDs and CDs from select Boston Public Library locations. The Program, called “BPL to Go,” will allow patrons to order items from the library by placing a hold on them, then pick them up from select branches. Once they have scheduled a time for pickup, patrons will be able to pick up their items from the Central Library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. At other branches, patrons can pick up their items from 2 to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Fridays.
