RI may have a new governor today: Here s how it would happen

PROVIDENCE Rhode Island has a new governor. Her resignation set the stage for the swearing-in a short time later of her successor: Lt. Gov. Dan McKee. McKee was sworn in by Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea before his wife, Susan, and two children, Kara and Matthew. In his first act as governor, McKee, a 69-year-old Democrat and former mayor of Cumberland, signed an executive order that reportedly echoed the promises made by his predecessors to abide by the highest standards of government.  He did not take questions but posed for a photo with Senate President Dominick Ruggerio and House Majority Leader Chris Blazejewski. His aides said he would hold multiple public events and address the media Wednesday.

Muslim women scholars across globe call to adopt Islamic teachings for happy family & stronger society Media Release February 24, 2021 New Delhi, Feb 24. 2021: Muslim women intellectuals and scholars from around the world have unanimously given a clarion call to adopt Islamic teachings for nurturing a happy family and a stronger society.
