Three key sustainability challenges
Having reduced carbon emissions by 87 % since 2006, Ørsted is on track to become carbon-neutral in energy generation and operations by 2025. That would make Ørsted the first major energy company to transform from fossil fuels and reach net-zero emissions.
The company is also taking decarbonisation beyond its own walls, with a target of net-zero emissions in the entire carbon footprint by 2040. This entails gradually phasing out wholesale buying and selling of natural gas and engaging closely with strategic suppliers to decarbonise the supply chain.
With these plans in place, Ørsted prioritises three challenges it believes particularly important for a sustainable green energy build-out, and that the company will address through sustainability programmes:

The COVID–19 pandemic has seriously impacted India’s health system. And in order to help where it can, no matter how small, CNH Industrial is determined to make contributions to local communities which really make a difference, especially in terms of infrastructure. Under the Solidarity Sanitization Project, the Company donated sets of tractors and sprayers to different locations throughout India.
The objective of the Solidarity Sanitation project is to help provide non-pharmaceutical solutions to help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, to help in managing the outbreak by taking environmental measures such as cleaning and sanitization roads and other surfaces. The tractor and sprayer combinations will also be used to disinfect the broader environment, localities and residential areas.
Electronics company HP recently announced a new plan to address racial injustice and drive change. On Jan. 15, the company, which earned the No. 43 spot on the 2020 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list, unveiled its Racial Equality and Social Justice Task Force. Some of the goals in the task force include strategizing ways to help Black employees advance within HP, working with Black suppliers within the industry and advocating for change at both the local and national level.
