Two Blackburn College students have been successful in the national BTEC Awards. Myles Campbell, 18, won an award in the sport category while Declan Rigby, 17, was recognised in the engineering category. Clitheroe resident Myles Campbell was recognised with a silver award in the BTEC Sports Learner of the Year category. Myles was praised for his positive attitude towards the practical elements of his Level 3 BTEC Sport course and how he embraced his work experience. Myles said: “I want to become a role model to other students by becoming a teacher at some stage, this is because my college tutors are my role models and I want to follow in their footsteps.”
