Funding Will Support 41 Community, Economic Development Projects Statewide
ANNAPOLIS, MD (May 25, 2021) Governor Larry Hogan today announced nearly $17 million in awards for four state revitalization programs and one federal community development program administered by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD).
“These important programs enable Maryland to partner with local governments, nonprofits, and other stakeholders to support revitalization efforts that enhance the quality of communities and the quality of life for our citizens,” said Governor Hogan. “These partnerships and projects provide critical facilities and services while creating jobs and contributing to positive economic growth.”

Community Grant Program that has been created to provide limited financial assistance to community groups and not-for-profit organizations within the City to assist with various activities.
This support is in recognition of the value of these groups to the well-being and growth of the community and is to help the municipality retain a strong community focus.
The City of Elliot Lake wishes to promote a varied and rich quality of life for all of its residents and visitors. At times, community groups and organizations in Elliot Lake need financial assistance to support community-based special projects or events.
Egypt completes 37 energy projects worth $27bn in 2 years
CAIRO, December 9, 2020 Egypt has completed 37 development projects, in the petroleum and mineral wealth sector, at an investment of EGP431.3 billion ($27.4 billion) in the last two years, 18 of which in the financial year 2019-20, said a senior government official. On the geographical distribution of finished projects, Dr Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development explained that the lake has exported the rest of the provinces in terms of project cost, with 5 projects costing EGP16.4 billion, followed by Suez, with 5 projects costing EGP7.4 billions. Then Alexandria with two projects, at a cost of EGP3.9 billion, and north Sinai, with two projects, at a cost of EGP1.7 billion, and Kafr El Sheikh with two projects, at a cost of EGP1.4 billion, Assiut and Qaloubia Dakahlia, Bani Suef, Port Said, Red Sea and Matrouh, with one project in each governorate, at a total cost of EGP343.3 billion, plus 14 joint
