PM Imran Khan giving special attention to promotion of tourism in GB: Fateh Ullah
Information Minister Gilgit Baltistan Fateh Ullah Khan says Information Department of GB is being strengthened to highlight the true potential of the region in diverse sectors.
In an exclusive interview with News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan today (Tuesday), he said it is sixth year of the establishment of independent Information Department in the region.
Fateh Ullah Khan, who also holds the portfolios of Planning and Development, said the PTI-led government is giving special attention to this important department due to strategic location of Gilgit-Baltistan. He said qualified people are being inducted into the Information Department so that it becomes vibrant in bridging the links between federation and Gilgit Baltistan.
The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council has approved the construction of the Sukkur-Hyderabad motorway, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar said Wednesday. The committee made the decision in a meeting held in Sukkur. Umar said in a tweet that the National Highway Authority will soon open bids for the contract. The project is part of the Sindh package announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said. The Rs446 billion package was announced in April. The project has already been approved by the Public Private Partnership Authority, Umar said.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday paid a surprise visit to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Covid-19 ward and interacted with the staff and patients.
Following the standard operating procedures (SOPs), the prime minister visited the hospital and was briefed by doctors about the virus, number of patients and their condition and availability of related facilities for them.
Imran reemphasized strict adherence to the corona SOPs for complete prevention. Imran Khan will speak again directly to the people over the phone Tuesday (today) at 1:30PM and answer questions. PTI Senator Faisal Javed said, âPrime Minister Imran Khan will once again speak to you directly on the phone.â
