Call for public submissions on Council’s Draft Budget
Lismore City Council’s Draft Budget provides the community with a clear and transparent snapshot of Council’s financial situation and ensures the delivery of services our community needs while also investing in the future, Mayor Vanessa Ekins said.
Councillors voted to place the Draft Budget on Public Exhibition for community feedback between May 10 and June 7.
The draft budget sees an improvement in Council’s cash balance next financial year from a deficit of $458,000 last year to a $200,000 deficit. This was achieved while Council plans will invest $66 million in important capital works over the coming financial year.

Regatta Park Kiosk one step closer
The transformation of Regatta Park at the Nepean River is one step closer with the Development Application (DA) for a new kiosk formally submitted for assessment.
The 88sqm kiosk will be a café style space delivering dine in and takeaway food and drink options, to improve the amenity at Regatta Park.
Funded and delivered by Penrith City Council, the kiosk will increase the appeal and functionality of the new area and further unlock the potential of our greatest natural asset, the Nepean River.
Penrith Mayor Karen McKeown OAM said the kiosk is an exciting addition to the Regatta Park upgrade and responds to the community’s request to celebrate, activate and enhance the Nepean River.
