In another 48 hours, the vaccination drive for 18 years above across the country would begin but there are many hurdles popping up. Many states are running out of vaccines and due to this, they are unable to initiate the vaccination drive from May 1st. Andhra Pradesh government has made a clear cut statement regarding the vaccination for 18 years above and now Telangana joins the chorus.
Regarding the same, Director of Public Health of Telangana, Dr. G Srinivas Rao held a press meet and added that though the Centre has announced vaccination from May 1st, it would take time to administer the vaccine in the state. “As per the availability of vaccines stock, we will administer it. For now people can enroll their names but the slots are yet to be provided,” said Srinivas Rao.

The senior health officials further asked people aged between 45-59 years of age to keep ready the document that certifies the comorbidities.

HYDERABAD: Nearly 91 centres across Telangana will be seeing the soft launch of the vaccine rollout program of the Covid-19 vaccine on Monday. This will be the second phase of the roll-out and is targetted for the priority groups above the age of 60 years and between 45-59 years of age who are suffering from comorbidities.

He worked as a driver in a government hospital. Giving information on Vithal s death, Nirmal Medical Officer said that this corona vaccine was not related to death.

HYDERABAD: Ahead of the vaccine rollout in Telangana from January 16, a consignment of 3.64 lakh doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca s Covishield vaccine arrived in Hyderabad from Pune on Tuesday. The vaccine is manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII).
After its arrival, the vaccine was sent to the State Vaccine Centre’s walk-in coolers for storing before they are transported to the inoculation centres.
The State has identified nearly 3.40 lakh healthcare workers for the vaccination, including 25,000 to 30,000 from Central government hospitals. This is a historic day for modern medicine as in a record time of 10 months, a vaccine is ready. We thank the researchers and scientists who worked on this, said Dr GS Rao, Director of Public Health of Telangana.
