Messenger KUWAIT CITY, April 8: MP Badr Al-Mullah has prepared a petition to remove National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim from office. Al-Mullah disclosed that he waited for Al-Ghanim to announce the rejection of the request of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid to suspend the grilling motions filed against him until the next round of this parliamentary term but the latter did not do so. National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim This has prompted him to prepare the petition to remove Al- Ghanim from office and he will ask his colleagues to sign the petition. He affirmed the petition is in line with Article 118 of the National Assembly Decree; which allows a lawmaker to submit a proposal, bill or petition that will then be forwarded to the government.
