Letter: Rundle needs to be next Byron Township Road Commissioner
Rockford Register Star
Mark Rundle needs to be our next Byron Township Road Commissioner. I have known Mark for over 30 years beginning with his being a student at Byron High School when I was principal. It is gratifying to see a former student pursue a career, raise a family, remain in our community, and now use his talents to benefit our community.
He brings 35 years of road construction experience to this position, and that will make a smooth transition once he is elected. During this time, his superiors recognized his abilities and made him a foreman for 27 of those years. He supervised other workers, followed instructions, made decisions, met deadlines, and stayed within budget. All of these areas will enable him to be successful as Road Commissioner. He also has 26 years of public road and commercial snow removal experience which is important during our northern Illinois winters.
