The Byron Writers Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary and is excited to be making a comeback this August 6–8 after the last year’s COVID-19 restrictions forced it, like many other events, to cancel.
‘We have just about finalised the program, which has been pretty intense, and we have Tony Birch, Evelyn Araluen – a Bunjalung author and fierce, young voice in Australian literature – Malcolm Turnbull, Alice Pung, and Hayley Katzen as the first guests we can reveal,’ said Byron Writers Chair, Adam van Kempen.
