A Derby sixth form school is looking to move to a new base between two popular city centre pubs.
Plan submitted to Newark and Sherwood District Council to convert space above St Mark s Place into living space

A proposal has been submitted to convert the space above retail units in St Markâs Place, Newark, into living space.
The application relates to units 8, 9, 10 and 11, which includes Game and Millets.
Guy Taylor Associates was commissioned by Riverland (Newark Ltd) to produce the proposals.

The conversion would result in the creation of seven residences and includes an area of existing flat roof over unit eight.
Plans include extending a pitched roof to be integrated into the living accommodation; a new external two-storey stairwell at the rear of units 8 and 9; a first-floor addition over unit 9, installation of a second floor within the hexagonal turret above unit ten and a new first-floor fenestration to the southwest elevation of unit 11.
