Kate Middleton helped save Prince William by making him feel important , royal expert says

The Duchess of Cambridge helped save Prince William after he left his dysfunctional family by making him feel important and worthy , according to a royal expert. Angela Levin, author of Harry: Biography of a Prince, told True Royalty TV s The Royal Beat that the Duke of Cambridge, 38, was in a very difficult place after losing his mother Princess Diana aged 15 in 1997. The young prince also witnessed his father, the Prince of Wales, and his mother s very public breakdown of their marriage before their separation in 1992. Ms Levin claimed Kate, 39, who married William on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London, really encouraged the duke and has dedicated her whole life to making him happy .

A first year nursing student at Ulster University has said her family could not believe she had the chance to tell the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge about her experiences working and studying during the pandemic.  Abigail McGarvey (18) from Portstewart said the royal couple were lovely and so easy to talk to during the video call on Tuesday, in which she told them about a video diary for social media application TikTok she created about her first placement in Causeway Hospital as a student nurse. In the footage she is seen getting up for a night shift, travelling to work and putting on personal protective equipment (PPE) of a mask, apron, gloves and visor. Later she puts on higher grade protection for working with Covid-19 positive patients.

The Duchess of Cambridge has praised a group of student nurses soon to join the profession telling them they were “needed now more than ever”. Kate and William chatted to the trainees during a practical lesson and the duke sympathised with the group who took part in hospital placements during the coronavirus pandemic, saying: “That’s really baptism by fire.” At the start of the first lockdown, the students from Ulster University’s School of Nursing joined the frontline fight against Covid-19 working on wards or in the community.
