According to court documents, on Jan. 29, deputies went to the Sycamore Road, Ashcamp, residence of Adam Little, 64, to execute a search warrant.

Suspects at large after theft, extensive pursuit

CLARKSVILLE, Mo. — Two men are at large after Pike County Sheriff’s deputies witnessed a theft in rural Clarksville and began a pursuit where a law enforcement vehicle was struck by the get-away vehicle. Deputies responded to rural Clarksville for a theft in progress, where they saw two people taking walnut trees from a historic cemetery about 9:44 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28. Two deputies plus a working dog in a single vehicle located a 2019 white Ram pickup truck on private property. Deputies activated their emergency equipment to detain the truck. The truck attempted to ram the patrol vehicle. Deputies followed, eventually losing sight of the vehicle. A couple of minutes later, another deputy traveling south on Mo. 79 encountered the truck heading north at more than 120 mph with the headlights off. The deputy pursued the suspect, vehicle eventually losing the truck in a field near Pike 245.

(WSFA) - Brundidge police are searching for the people responsible for an armed robbery at a local convenience store. Brundidge Police Chief Marquez James said they got the call at approximately 6:47 a.m. Monday and responded to the store in the 1000 block of U.S. 231. Police say the owner and two patrons reported that two males robbed the business at gunpoint. They said the suspects held the clerk hostage while trying to rob them. Police say both patrons engaged in a physical altercation with the suspects to try to stop them. No one was shot but one of the patrons received minor injuries.

Multiple crashes over the weekend result in one fatality

Multiple severe vehicular accidents occured over the weekend in the area, as reported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The first occurred on Saturday, January 23, at approximately 2:45 p.m. in Stockdale. The official release from the Portsmouth post of the state highway patrol reads as follows, “Stockdale, Ohio – The Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash that occurred around 2:45p.m. on January 23, 2021. A 7 year old was struck by a vehicle while crossing State Route 335 near Sunset Lane in Stockdale, Ohio. The child was flown to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus with non-life threatening injuries. The Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Pike County Sheriff Office, Pike County EMS, Medflight, and Stockdale VFD. The crash remains under investigation by troopers at the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.”
