A visit to Locust Grove s Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary:
A famous fictional character once exclaimed, Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! And while she wasn’t following a yellow brick road down to Locust Grove, the Georgia town does feature those three animals among more than a thousand others.
Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is a nonprofit animal sanctuary located just off of Interstate 75, about 40 minutes south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. And that’s a fitting landmark, considering the animals inside the sanctuary are truly an international bunch, ranging from lemurs of Madagascar and Japanese macaques to the prairie dogs and porcupines of North Ameri

This time, the kitties, and the puppies, need a little assistance. Via their Facebook page, Noah s Ark Animal Sanctuary made a very special request. The team on the ark have been helping with several accidental litters and this littles have some special dietary needs.
The puppies are in desperate need of Liquid Puppy Milk Replacer. There are no special brand requests but the little fur babies like the premixed cans. The kitties on the ark also need kitten formula.

A zoo farm which was inundated with Christmas trees after it was mistaken for a zoo in America is asking people to once again give their festive firs for the animals.
McDONOUGH â Now that Christmas is over and the ornaments and holiday decor are going back into storage, many of us are asking ourselves the annual question of what to do with the tree.
Instead of tossing it out in the trash, turn it into mulch that will be used to help keep flowers moist, soil cool and suppress weeds during the dog days of summer.
The Henry County Recycling Center, 65 West Asbury Road in McDonough, accepts trees at no cost Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The center will be close on New Yearâs Day.
