The Circus Ginnett will be visiting Lyme Regis from Tuesday, August 3 until Sunday, August 15. The circus, run by husband and wife team Lisandra and Patrick Austin, is one of the oldest family circuses in the country. The show will feature aerialists, hula hoops, jugglers, Vader the Wonder Dog and two clowns. This year Circus Ginnett is supporting NHS Charities Together and donating all profits from its opening nights in each town to the charity. Lisandra Austin said: This is the first time Lyme Regis has held an event like this. We are one of the oldest circus families in the country, dating back to the 1800s and this year we are officially supporting the NHS Charities Together and donating all profits from our opening nights on each venue throughout the season to them.
MEMBERS of a Mold club reflected on the challenges of adapting their activities to continue throughout lockdown. The end of year meeting of Mold Rotary Club is devoted to the President’s Fellowship, a review of the Club’s activities over the previous twelve months. President Mark Philpot reflected upon the effect of the lockdown on the Club and its activities. He said he was pleased that lockdown had not been a knockout blow to the Club. Yes we were shaken, a spokesman said, but we were stirred into investigating the new forms of communication available through our computers, lap tops, tablets and I-pads.

STAUNTON Authorities arrested a Verona man Saturday on a rape warrant stemming out of Staunton.
The Staunton Police Department said a woman reported in early March that she d been raped numerous times since 2016 by a man described by police as an acquaintance.
Police said the alleged rapes took place at a residence on the city s north end.
An investigation was launched, and on Saturday the Augusta County Sheriff s Office arrested a Verona man on the Staunton warrant.
Patrick Austin-Good, 27, is facing one charge of forcible rape, jail records show.
He is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
