Carlton has made some significant shifts to their midfield group since the bye and the changes were particularly evident in the win over Fremantle.
Under midfield coach John Barker, the Blues predominantly relied on Patrick Cripps, Ed Curnow and Sam Walsh as their centre bounce grouping. Barker departed the club at the bye.
The trio usually attended between 70 per cent and 90 per cent of centre bounces, with the likes of Paddy Dow, Will Setterfield, Jack Martin and Lachie Fogarty rotating through.
Since the bye, the Blues have steadily weaned Curnow and Walsh’s on-ball numbers down. Walsh attended 29% of centre bounces against the Dockers, while Curnow only 13%.
