Walsh will lead the process of formalising the new contract of Ahluwalia at a special executive committee meeting which is expected to happen soon. This comes after the University of the South Pacific Council reappointed Ahluwalia as the vice-chancellor in their meeting last week. The council said Ahluwaliawill be offered a three-year term with a subsequent option for a two-year extension. “The operations of the vice-chancellor’s work arrangement including location outside of the Laucala Campus will be monitored for feasibility and practicality.”
